The Hartford is seeking a Retail Sales Consultant to expand market presence in a defined territory by building durable relationships with financial advisors and strategic partners. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, sales, or marketing (or equivalent on-the-job experience).
• Must be fully licensed (Series 7, Series 63).
• Willing to travel 80% of the time.
• A minimum of five years of external wholesaling experience is preferred.
• Ability to build strong relationships with proven individual contributor and team player skills.
• Confident public speaker with presentation skills.
• Coachable with integrity and sound judgment.
• Strong awareness of industry dynamics, competition, and market needs.

Responsibilities

• Increase sales and grow territory AUM by calling on financial advisors, key contacts, and conducting seminars and client events.
• Develop and implement territory business plans with internal sales support.
• Build strong relationships with Hartford Funds' strategic partners, registered representatives, and firms.
• Leverage data and technology to capture sales and market share.
• Provide marketing support and customer service to financial advisors in the territory.
• Maintain deep understanding of evolving market conditions and Hartford Funds solutions.
• Regularly update advisors on industry trends and client needs to elevate the experience.
• Support/contribute to conferences and meetings.
• Adhere to compliance regulations and use of approved materials; complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.
