Job summary

The Hartford is seeking an Advisor Consultant to grow Hartford Funds’ assets by building durable relationships with financial advisors within a defined territory. You will drive sales, deliver seminars, and execute territory business plans in collaboration with internal teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in business/economics/finance/sales/marketing, are fully licensed (Series 7, Series 63), and can travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, finance, sales, or marketing (or equivalent on-the-job experience).
Must be fully licensed (Series 7, Series 63).
Must be able and willing to travel 80% of the time.
A minimum of five years of external wholesaling experience is preferred.
Ability to build strong relationships with a proven track record as an individual contributor and team player.
Confident public speaker, great at making presentations.
Coachable with integrity and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Increase sales and grow territory AUM by calling on financial advisors and conducting seminars.
Develop and implement territory business plans with internal sales support.
Build strong relationships with Hartford Funds’ partners and firms.
Leverage data and technology to capture sales and market share.
Provide marketing support and customer service to financial advisors.
Stay informed on evolving market conditions and Hartford Funds solutions.
Update advisors on industry trends and client needs; elevate the client experience.
Support conferences and meetings; ensure compliance with materials and licensing.
Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.
