Job summary

Boreal Ridge Corporation seeks a seasoned Terrain Parks & Grooming Manager to lead daily operations and shape long-term mountain experiences at Woodward Tahoe, overseeing terrain parks, grooming, and summer venues while balancing safety, guest satisfaction and financial performance.

You will develop seasonal plans, budgets, staffing strategies, and capital improvements; operate snowcats and train staff; collaborate with Marketing; recruit and mentor leaders; and ensure compliance with safety

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and long-term vision for terrain parks, grooming, and summer venues.

• Partner with Marketing/Brand teams to support events and activations.
• Recruit, develop, and lead assistant managers, supervisors, and staff.

• Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, innovation and guest experiences.
• Monitor budgets, forecasting, purchasing, and resource allocation.
• Ensure facilities, venues and programs meet safety and risk standards.

Lead the Mountain Experience

We're seeking an experienced mountain operations leader to oversee the planning, development, and execution of our terrain parks, grooming operations, and summer sport venues. As a member of the Resort Leadership Team, the Terrain Parks & Grooming Manager is responsible for the short, medium, and long-term planning and execution of our snow-based products, including terrain parks, grooming operations, and summer recreation venues. This role balances operational excellence, guest experience, safety, employee development, event support, and financial performance to deliver industry-leading mountain experiences. This is a full-time, year-round leadership position with responsibility for strategic planning, team leadership, operational execution, and continuous innovation across multiple resort venues.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Salary: $72,000 - $76,000 annually depending upon experience.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the daily operations and long-term vision for terrain parks, grooming, and summer sport venues.
• Develop seasonal operating plans, staffing strategies, budgets, and capital improvement recommendations.
• Operate snowcats and train, coach, and certify operators on safe and effective grooming, terrain park construction, equipment operation, and company operating standards.
• Partner with Marketing and Brand teams to support events, venue development, and partner activations.
• Recruit, develop, and lead assistant managers, supervisors, operators, and seasonal staff.
• Manage departmental administration including workforce planning, scheduling, payroll review and approval, labor budget tracking, purchasing, reporting, and compliance with company policies and operational standards.
• Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, innovation, and exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, purchasing, and resource allocation.
• Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all facilities, venues, and programs meet established safety and risk management standards.
• Collaborate with resort leadership to advance organizational goals and enhance the overall mountain experience.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience leading terrain park, grooming, mountain operations, or resort operations teams.
• Demonstrated experience operating snowcats and training operators in grooming techniques, terrain park feature construction, equipment maintenance awareness, and safe operating practices.
• Strong understanding of terrain park design, snow surface management, and operational safety practices.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, staffing, and workforce planning.
• Proven success developing and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic outdoor environment and changing mountain conditions.
• Passion for mountain culture, guest experience, and innovation.
