Job summary

URBN's Terrain division is seeking energetic Event Server staff to deliver polished guest experiences at weddings, galas, and upscale events in Wayland, MA. You will support dining room and bar setups, move tables and chairs, and provide attentive service during passed hors d'oeuvres, buffet, and plated meals.

Role requires weekend availability, lifting up to 50 lbs, and the ability to work 8–10 hour shifts outdoors or indoors.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service; upscale hospitality, catering, fine dining, weddings or banquet service a plus.
• Availability on weekends and some holidays; min 3 shifts/month during peak season.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining room, patio/bar, and ceremony/garden areas.
• Move tables and chairs during transitions and breakdown for events.
• Provide warm, polished guest service during passed appetizers, tableside wine, and buffet or plated meals.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and seating/ tables for all service.
• Bus glasses, dishes, silverware, and trash from event tables to the kitchen.
• Refill, restock, and transition all food and beverage displays as needed.
• Dry, polish, and store all equipment used during the event.
• Keep service stations clean and organized.
• Represent the Terrain brand with professionalism at all times.

Job description

Terrain Event Servers are at the heart of each event, providing exceptional service from ceremony to final toast. This is a fast-paced, team-focused role ideal for hospitality professionals who love creating memorable guest experiences and thrive in an elevated service environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Support the specific set up of dining room, patio/bar, and ceremony/garden areas
• Execute moving tables and chairs during transitions and breakdown for every event
• Provide warm, polished, and intuitive guest service during passed appetizers, tableside wine, and for buffet, plated or family-style meals.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, as well as tables and seat numbers, for all food running, especially during entrée service
• Bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, and trash from all event tables to the kitchen
• Refilling, restocking, and transitioning all stationary food and beverage displays as needed
• Drying, polishing & putting away all equipment used during the event
• Maintaining clean and organized service stations
• Represent the Terrain brand with professionalism and care at all times

Role Qualifications

• Transportation: Reliable transportation required
• Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs, a ble to stand/move for 8–10 hours, and work both indoors and outdoors.
• Availability: Must be available on weekends, some holidays and work a minimum of 3 shifts/month during peak season (April–December).
• Scheduling: Weekly recurring availability required; Typical Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Flexible, proactive, and collaborative team attitude necessary
• Comfortable with formal event moments (speeches, dances, etc.)
• Experience in food service; upscale hospitality, catering, fine dining, weddings or banquet service a plus

Pay Range

Starting from USD $18.00/Hr.
