Job summary

Terrain is seeking a Design Services Assistant to support container design projects and private events in-store, off-site, and in private residential settings. You will assist with installation tasks, staging and movement of products, and help ensure smooth project execution.

The role involves collaboration with Design Manager and Design Leads, has outdoor duties, and requires flexible hours to meet business needs. A customer-centric approach and attention to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service.
• Creative thinking and problem solving ability.
• Basic knowledge and skill of power tools.
• Ability to lift in excess of 75lbs and push/pull 100lbs on a daily basis.
• Willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Manages day to day logistics, pulls product needed for jobs, maintains plants and product as needed
• Assists with the physical arrangement and tear down of residential installations as well as on and off-site events
• Supports with clean up and break down on the job site
• Enjoys working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, contributing to the installation experience by being positive, respectful, and helpful to others
• Assists leadership team in maintaining back of house standards
• Adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store

Role Summary

In collaboration with the Design Manager and Design Leads, the Design Services Assistant supports the container design projects and private events in-store, off-site, and in private residential settings. They support the operational tasks of project installations for Design Services. They play a key part of the installation process through the staging and movement of products along with other supplies needed for Design Services jobs. They uphold terrain’s four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform and to appreciate our customer.

Pay Range
