Job summary

URBN seeks a dedicated Service Assistant to support guest experience and dining operations in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. You will ensure clean, organized dining areas, timely service, and accurate delivery of menu items while collaborating across service roles.

Qualifications

• Entry level role; restaurant or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Polished, professional appearance with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.
• Flexible availability; mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages accurately with understanding of menu details.
• Assist guests with needs and relay questions to the team.
• Clear and reset tables within 3 minutes of guest departure.
• Assist with packaging takeout orders.
• Maintain awareness of dining room and proactively assist where needed.
• Keep kitchen expo areas, service stations, and dining room clean and organized.
• Polish and restock silverware, glassware, and plateware.
• Monitor and remove trash and recycling regularly.
• Ensure safe and clear walkways for guests and staff at all times.
• Memorize table and seat numbers to aid in efficient service.
• Learn menu details, ingredients, and allergen protocols.
• Communicate guest concerns clearly to team leads.
• Assist FOH staff during high-volume periods.
• Help with opening and closing duties, including setting/resetting the dining room.

This is a key position that ensures a clean, organized dining room, timely table service, prompt and accurate delivery of menu items, and seamless collaboration across service roles. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment and is eager to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.

Role Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Table Support

• Assist with guest needs and relay questions or concerns to the appropriate team member.

• Flexible availability preferred- may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.

• Physically able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods

• Bend, reach, lift up to 50 lbs.
