TerraCorps Service member applications for the 2025-26 program year are now open!

TerraCorps has more than 30 AmeriCorps service member positions in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Do you want to serve your community while protecting the environment and getting professional experience with a land conservation nonprofit?

TerraCorps is an AmeriCorps affiliated nonprofit preparing and mobilizing the next generation of emerging leaders committed to making a difference at the community level. We do this by partnering with a network of nonprofits in Massachusetts and Rhode Island focused on community needs related to local land conservation and sustainable farming. These partners act as service sites for a new cohort of AmeriCorps service members annually. Service members are paired with a site supervisor who provides guidance and mentorship while they learn to manage community programs and projects over a10-month, 1700-hour service term.

Members serve in one of five coordinator roles focused on:

Land Conservation

Land Stewardship

Sustainable Agriculture

Community Engagement

Youth Education

TerraCorps members serve in full-time (40 hour/week), 10-month positions from September 22nd, 2025- July 31st, 2026, and can receive the following benefits:

Stipend of $27,666 distributed over the course of the term

Free access to healthcare coverage

Childcare coverage if eligible

Free mental health services through the Member Assistance Program

Money for college ($7,395), through the Segal Education Award upon completion of the program

Student loan forbearance if the member qualifies

Professional mentoring and coaching

Professional development trainings and workshops
