Job summary

The Terminix International Company Limited Partnership is seeking a Termite Technician to inspect, prevent, and treat termite activity on customers' properties. You will play a frontline role in protecting homes by performing inspections, treatments, and communicating findings.

Responsibilities include safe application of termite treatments, operating service vehicles, and documenting services. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and customer-service

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license from the state of residence.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience; termite control experience is a plus.
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations (covered by us).
  • Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Follow instructions for mixing on product labels.

Responsibilities

  • Identify termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors to determine remedial steps.
  • Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices.
  • Apply anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
  • Communicate to the customer critical conditions conducive to termite activity and discuss procedures and structural modifications.
  • Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order.
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete production forms documenting services provided.
  • Interact with customers and explain services provided.

What do our Termite Technicians do?

Termite Technicians use their expertise to play a role in protecting customers' properties from wood destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician you are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding customers' properties. The inspections, prevention, and treatment services that you provide will create peace of mind and comfort for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
  • Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
  • Applying anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
  • Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to treatment process
  • Verifying that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
  • Completing production forms documenting services provided
  • Interacting with customers and explaining services provided
Essential Job Functions
  • Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
  • Prepare the job site for treatment
  • Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders
  • You need to be comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder along with working in small confined spaces.
  • General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is plus
  • Ability to work on a roofs and high areas
  • Lots of moving around - regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
  • You’ll need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like an OSHA-compliant respirator, and you’ll need to be okay with regularly working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways (anywhere the critters live)
What do you need?
  • Clean shaven face- for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence (Company vehicle and gas card provided)
  • At least 1 years of customer service, experience in termite control is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Be flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
  • Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • You’ll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
