Job summary

Orkin is hiring as an Orkin Pro to protect homes and businesses. You’ll join a team backed by 125 years of service, with a company vehicle, competitive pay, and a 401(k). No industry experience is required as Orkin provides award-winning training and a path to a lasting career in pest management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain the pesticide license within the first 90 days (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Complete company paid training and learn to operate a pest control service route.
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
• Drive a company vehicle and follow a route schedule within territory.
• Interact with customers with professionalism and integrity.
• Serve as a problem solver for each customer with empathy.
• Prepare and install home or business services (attic remediations, crawlspace encapsulations, etc.).
• Interact with customers to set expectations and ensure satisfaction.
• Complete all service-related documentation with speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Where and how will you serve customers?

• Complete our award-winning company paid training and learn the skills required to be responsible for the daily operation of a pest control service route to become a Pro.
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
• Drive a company vehicle and follow a route schedule within assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer.
• Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
• Serve as a problem solver for each customer with empathy by listening to and understanding their needs and utilizing Orkin Pro expertise to recommend the most efficient and innovative solution.
• Prepare and install home or business services to include, but not limited to, attic remediations, crawlspace encapsulations, gutter protection, and radiant heat barrier for energy efficiency.
• Interact with customers in their home or business by setting project expectations and walking them through the process to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete all required service-related documentation and leverage your hand-held device provided for speed and accuracy.

What will my work environment be like?

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Willing to work in different types of weather conditions.
