Job summary

Lee County Port Authority is seeking a Tradesworker, Terminal at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) to maintain electrical, mechanical, and facility systems. The role requires a Florida driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year in a related maintenance field, with English communication skills and TSA/SIDA eligibility.

The position focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and daily system inspections to ensure safe, reliable airport operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience as an industrial maintenance technician, HVAC mechanic, electrician, or plumber.
• Must be able to communicate in English (written and oral).
• Must pass a criminal background screening, drug test, and TSA/SIDA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and inspect electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including fixtures and pipes.
• Carpentry tasks such as window/door repair, baseboards, drywall.
• Caulking, painting, plastering, tile work, and masonry as needed.
• Conduct daily inspections, lubrication, and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
