Responsibilities

• Interact with flight crews, aircraft owners and passengers to deliver service requests.
• Coordinate arrival times and service needs via aviation radio.
• Process fuel and aircraft services sales and related transactions.
• Prearrange customer service requests for arrivals/departures, hotels, and rentals.
• Coordinate safe transfer of customers and baggage through the terminal.
• Engage customers one-on-one; review terminal amenities regularly.
• Perform shift closeouts, balances, fuel reports and concierge scheduling.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Position

The Lee County Port Authority, Base Operations at Page Field, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Customer Service Agent. The anticipated hourly starting rate for the ideal candidate is $19.31

Minimum Qualifications

• A valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• A minimum of one year work experience in a related aviation or customer service experience preferred.Any combination of education and experience,which demonstrated the ability to perform duties effectively,may be substituted
• Excellent customer service skills, computer skills , and have the ability to effectively communicate with others at all times
• Must be able to prioritize job tasks that are occurring simultaneously in an extremely busy environment. Tasks include dealing with in-person customers,incoming & outgoing radio transmissions, phone calls and transaction processing
• Must be flexible to work varying shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.Schedule restrictions may apply during seasonal timeframes
• Must be adaptable and able to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with flight crew, aircraft owners and passengers in the delivery of service requests
• Communicate with aircraft inflight via aviation band radio to coordinate arrival times and service needs
• Process sales transactions for the purchase of fuel and ancillary aircraft services, including ramp and hangar parking, ground power, lavatory and water service, catering and gift shop purchases
• Prearrange customer service requests for aircraft arrival and departure,hotel and rental car reservations, catering and miscellaneous transportation needs
• Coordinate the safe and expeditious transfer of customers and baggage through the terminal facility
• Interact with customers on a one-on-one basis, while conducting frequent reviews of terminal amenities and facilities
• Perform shift closeouts and balances; complete fuel reports and concierge request scheduling
• Other duties as assigned

Emergency Response/Recovery Activities:

Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time. Employees may be called to fulfill duties that are outside their normal scope of work to assist in resuming airport operations and flight activities.
