Job summary

A premier architecture firm is seeking an experienced airport planner with at least 10 years of experience in terminal and airport operations. Ideal candidates should have strong project management skills and a track record of working collaboratively in architectural projects. This position allows work from home flexibility. Candidates with a registered architect status are preferred, along with experience in business development.

Job description

Preferably have at least 10 years experience including planning and programming for airport terminals and related facilities as well as terminal and terminal area masterplans. Project management, business development, strong “people” and communication skills are desired as well as demonstrated understanding and facilitation of planning/design relationship. Project experience should encompass a range of airport size, types and locations. Must be willing to travel, but the position itself is possible to WFH Work From Home if you choose not to be in a city where the firm maintains a studio.

Required Experience

• 10 years experience, majority in airports
• Terminal planning experience with some experience in airfield planning or the “big picture” of airports and airport operations, and not “just” airport terminal planning. This could include some of the following examples:
  • make recommendations on building configuration and programming requirements based on enplanements.
  • Site analysis and terminal area masterplans
  • knowledge of regulating agency requirements,
  • understanding aircraft movements,
  • how to interpret forecasting data,
• Experience working with architects or in an architectural firm on airport projects
• Collaborative, no big egos or prima donnas
• Willingness to also do project management and project architecture work
