Job summary

Howard Energy Partners is seeking a Terminal Operator to safely transfer, store, and handle liquid products across marine, rail, truck, and pipeline interfaces. The role supports inventory management, routine inspections, and equipment maintenance in a busy terminal environment.

Operators may perform console operations, coordinate field activities, support reporting, and train other operators based on experience. A TWIC is required, with advancement to higher Operator levels available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of experience in terminal, pipeline, marine, or related operations preferred.
• Advancement through Operator I–III based on experience and skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload marine vessels, barges, railcars, and trucks.
• Perform product transfers between tanks, pipelines, trucks, and railcars including transloading.
• Gauge tanks, railcars, and trucks and calculate inventory using API gravity and corrections.
• Monitor operations and equipment to ensure safe product movement.
• Operate pumps, meters, valves, loading racks, and dock equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Complete logs, inspection reports, and operational documentation.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
• Participate in commissioning, PHAs, P&ID reviews, and safety drills.
• Respond to alarms and coordinate with supervisors and field personnel.
• Assist with reporting and shift documentation; mentor other operators.
