Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. seeks a Terminal Operator to safely operate loading/unloading equipment at the Madison Terminal WI. You will maintain grounds and perform clerical tasks while ensuring accurate records and adherence to safety policies.

Required 1–3 years experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Familiarity with SAP and MS Office is expected, with welding and basic electrical skills a plus.

Qualifications

  • Required Education: High School diploma/GED.
  • Required Work Experience: 1 - 3 years.
  • Licenses Preferred: Valid Driver’s License.
  • Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Additional Requirements: Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance.
  • A good understanding of cement manufacturing process or logistics is preferred.
  • Demonstrates welding, machine repair, and basic electricity skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Terminal Operator safely operates all equipment at the location used to load and unload rail cars, boatsand/or trucks, ensuring order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
  • Carry out tasks related to loading/unloading material, both bulk and bagged, for rail, waterway, and roadmethods of transportation, as appropriate for the specific location.
  • Understand and operate truck loading equipment.
  • Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanicalmaintenance.
  • Sample product from trucks and barges following company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records on all terminal equipment.
  • Perform clerical functions
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit thesebehaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: High School diploma/GED

Required Work Experience: 1 - 3 years

Licenses Preferred: Valid Driver’s License

Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAP

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance.
  • A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process or logistics is preferred.
  • Demonstrates technical skills in welding, machine repair, and basic electricity
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
