Amrize is hiring a Terminal Operator at the Madison Terminal in Wisconsin. The role involves safely operating equipment used to load and unload rail cars, boats, and trucks, while keeping accurate records and maintaining facilities.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience, a High School diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. You will work with SAP and other basic computer tools in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain terminal equipment for loading/unloading rail cars, boats, and trucks.

• Assist with clerical tasks and health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Sample products and monitor quality per company policies.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and safety protocols.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Terminal Operator safely operates all equipment at the location used to load and unload rail cars, boatsand/or trucks, ensuring order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
• Carry out tasks related to loading/unloading material, both bulk and bagged, for rail, waterway, and roadmethods of transportation, as appropriate for the specific location.
• Understand and operate truck loading equipment.
• Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanicalmaintenance.
• Sample product from trucks and barges following company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records on all terminal equipment.
• Perform clerical functions
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit thesebehaviors.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: High School diploma/GED
Required Work Experience: 1 - 3 years

Licenses Preferred: Valid Driver’s License

Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAP

Additional Requirements:

• Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance.
• A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process or logistics is preferred.
• Demonstrates technical skills in welding, machine repair, and basic electricity
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
