Job summary

Heidelberg Materials seeks an hands-on Terminal Operator to load, unload, and transfer bulk products using terminal equipment and procedures. You will assist with daily operations, monitor equipment, and help maintain inventory and shipping records for efficient material movement.

Candidates should have experience in industrial settings, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work around moving equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, rail, heavy equipment, or similar hands-on environment preferred.
• Commitment to safety and following established procedures around moving equipment and bulk materials.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand tools, operating equipment, and troubleshooting routine issues.
• Dependable work habits with attention to detail and accuracy, including the ability to work independently.
• Clear communication and respectful collaboration with team members, customers, and drivers in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transfer bulk products using terminal equipment and procedures.
• Assist with daily terminal operations, including loading/unloading trucks and railcars and monitoring equipment.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor equipment issues using basic hand tools.
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records to support efficient material movement.
• Communicate with team members, customers, and drivers to resolve operational issues as they arise.
