Job summary

World Group is seeking a dedicated Terminal Manager for our Memphis, TN terminal to lead fleet operations and connect owner-operators with customers. You will drive process improvements, safety, and strong service performance.

Ideal candidates have 5 years in intermodal transportation management and 3 years managing an owner-operator fleet, with proven leadership and relationship-building skills. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 5 years intermodal transportation management experience.
• 3 years managing an owner-operator based fleet.
• Outstanding service performance, leadership, customer satisfaction and owner-operator recruiting skills are essential.
• High integrity and initiative; strong management and communication skills.
• Strong operations background; proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Fleet Manager, Customer Service and Operations in the terminal.
• Collaborate with recruiting and driver experience teams on IC acquisition and retention strategies.
• Develop new business and grow opportunities with current customers through relationships with key decision makers.
• Coach and facilitate teamwork among Customer Service, fleet and operations management.
• Uphold safety as the #1 priority and conduct safety inspections as needed.

About This Role

ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, is currently looking for a dedicated, driven person to join our family as a Terminal Manager for our growing terminal in Memphis, TN! The Terminal Manager is responsible for being the backbone of our trucking operations and being the connection between our fleet of owner-operators and our customers. This role will build lasting relationships with our drivers and customers that center around our core values. Does this sound like you or fit your experience?

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Fleet Manager, Customer Service and Operations team members located in the terminal
• Work closely with the recruiting and driver experience teams on IC acquisition and retention strategies
• Develop new business
• Grow and expand opportunities with the current customer base through relationship building with key account decision makers
• Coach and facilitate excellent communication and teamwork amongst Customer Service, fleet and operations management.
• Safety Accountabilities (Holding True to Our Safety Culture / #1 Priority)
• Facility Maintenance Background including Safety Inspections
• P&L Understanding and Analysis (GP / NOI/ NI)
• Servant Leadership Understanding and Mentoring Skills
• Electronic Log and HOS Experience
• Impromptu Problem Solving Skills in a Fast Paced Environment

Education And Experience

• HS diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred
