Job summary

Maersk in Houston, USA, seeks a senior leader to oversee the Maersk/CMCA Depot Operations Business unit, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and high-quality customer service across the Port of Houston and Bayport-area facilities.

You will drive financial performance, implement continuous improvement, recruit and develop staff, and align operations with global standards to deliver reliable logistics solutions for customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the APM-E Safety, Environmental and Health & Wellness measures to ensure we meet industry obligations to keep people, environment, equipment and cargo safe.
• Lead customer relations efforts to earn trust and grow the business across facilities operations.
• Develop and scale operations at the Maersk/CMCA site and Bayport-area facilities (Port of Houston and Barbour's Cut) to meet global standards.
• Ensure recruitment, training, engagement and effective labor relations are prioritized by the team.
• Drive financial performance, margins, asset utilization and cost management across operations.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Promote continuous improvement and risk management mindset in operations.
• Keep the Facility General Manager and Regional Depot Leadership informed of performance through Monthly Meetings and ad hoc communications.
• Focus on Health, Safety, Security and Environment, Customer Centricity, Growth and profitability, and KPI achievement.
• Manage relationships with vendors, external suppliers, and functional Product Leaders to support operations.

Overall, responsible for the financial performance of the depot operation, in addition to the site and operational safety, productivity, labor relations and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

This position oversees a multi-shift operation that requires a 40 hour work week during standard business hours. Pay Range

$105k-110k

• The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
