Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking personnel to perform liquid product handling in an industrial terminal setting, operating barges, tanks and vehicles with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The role involves climbing tanks, transferring petroleum products, opening valves, performing daily equipment checks, and completing required documentation in a fast-paced 24/7 environment. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with pipe wrenches, box wrenches and other similar tools.
• Must possess and maintain a drivers' license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, fractions, multiplication/division and percentages.
• Ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Ability to work with others, takes direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
• Successful completion of background check and drug screen upon offer.

Responsibilities

• Perform work orders and follow SOPs safely, timely and cost effectively.
• Gauge tank volumes by climbing elevated tanks.
• Transfer petroleum products between bulk containers.
• Open and close valves and connect hoses for product transfer.
• Conduct daily inspections of liquid handling equipment.
• Conduct spill clean-up operations as required.
• Maintain cleanliness around operations and buildings.
• Label containers per DOT regulations.
• Participate in safety programs and training, including testing.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Complete bills of lading and other required documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
