Swift Transportation is seeking an experienced operations leader to manage a terminal’s P&L, people, and performance. You will drive efficiency, safety, and growth, coordinating with sales and recruitment to meet market needs.

The role requires 5+ years in transportation operations or sales, 1+ year in leadership, and a Bachelor's degree. A bilingual English/Spanish background is preferred, with a focus on data-driven decision making.

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead P&L and all headcount for assigned terminal.
• Oversee terminal operations to ensure efficiency and optimal capacity.
• Maintain safe, organized, and welcoming terminal environment for drivers and customers.
• Develop training programs to improve performance and depth.
• Provide feedback on revenue, safety, retention, and equipment utilization.
• Identify cost-effective improvements based on ROI (e.g., dispatch MPG).
• Develop and maintain an effective yard management system.
• Collaborate with recruiting and driver development to meet hiring needs.
• Work with sales to understand market needs and support new business development.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do Lead P&L and all headcount for assigned terminal. Oversee all activities tied to ensure assigned terminal operates efficiently and optimal capacity for all the company's Lines of Business and customers tied to assigned terminal.

• Ensure terminal is well maintained and is safe, organized, clean and appealing to drivers and customers.
• Establish development/training programs that continuously improve performance and increase position depth.
• Provide continuous feedback to leaders regarding revenue per truck, driver safety, employee retention and utilization of equipment.
• Identify opportunities for improvement; develop and implement cost‑effective solutions based on ROI such as improve dispatch MPG.
• Develop and maintain an effective yard management system.
• Collaborate with recruiting and driver development to ensure hiring needs are met.
• Work closely with sales to gain an understanding of market needs and assist in new business development in key markets.
• Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

• 5+ years' experience in operations and/or sales in transportation industry required.
• 1+ year people leadership experience required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Must be able to lead, develop and coach others.
• Must be able to effectively transfer knowledge to others.
• Must be able to understand financial reports.
• Must be able to effectively utilize accessible data for effective decision making and problem resolution.
• Bachelor's degree in business related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
