Job summary

Carmeuse, via Mintek Resources, Inc., seeks a heavy equipment operator to run loaders, backhoes, and skid steers at its Indiana facility. You will load/unload trucks and rail cars, perform routine checks, and uphold safety and PPE standards to maintain a clean, hazard-free terminal environment.

You will also participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining facilities and equipment. Prior equipment experience and strong teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous equipment operating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of material handling systems a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork and safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, skid steers.
• Loading and unloading of inbound and outbound trucks and rail cars.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines to maintain a safe work area.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free terminal environment.
• Maintaining and operating facilities and equipment; general maintenance.
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
