Job summary

East Ayrshire Council is seeking a permanent part-time food assistant based at Ochiltree Primary School. The role involves assisting with the daily preparation of meals across various menus to support the Council’s Community Plan and Best Value objectives.

The post requires PVG scheme membership for regulated work with children and/or protected adults. Hours are 15 per week, Monday to Friday 11:15am–2:15pm, term-time only, with a pay rate of £13.95–£14.12 per hour.

Qualifications

• PVG scheme required for regulated work with children and/or protected adults.
• Successful applicants must become PVG Scheme members prior to offer.
• Disclosures under PVG Record updates will be discussed with applicants.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans.
• Support promotion, delivery and integration of Council objectives through meals.
• Work 15 hours per week at Ochiltree Primary School (term-time).
