Term Lecturers are appointed on a semester‑by‑semester basis, typically teaching 3–9 credits per semester

• Provide student mentoring and academic support, including office hours.

Term Lecturers are appointed on a semester‑by‑semester basis, contingent upon student demand, and typically teach between 3–9 credits per semester. They may teach in various formats such as classroom settings, labs, simulation spaces, and clinical sites. Term Lecturers hired into these roles may hold titles such as Term Lecturer, Course Developer, Facilitator, Lab Instructor, Simulation Coordinator, Site Clinical Instructor, Teaching Fellow, Clinical Oversight Instructor, or Project Mentor.

Responsibilities primarily involve delivering didactic content through both on‑site and online platforms, managing course delivery, grading, student mentoring, and maintaining regular office hours.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

During the selection process, relevant program details will be provided. Generally, the Term Lecturer will:

• Deliver high‑quality instruction in alignment with their area of expertise and program needs.
• Develop and manage online course content using Desire to Learn (D2L) where applicable.
• Publish and maintain the course syllabus.
• Oversee course management and content delivery.
• Conduct assessments and assign grades for student performance.

Qualifications

While specific qualifications are program‑dependent, all Term Lecturers should generally possess:

• An advanced or terminal degree in a relevant field.
• Previous clinical experience in applicable programs.
• An active professional license for programs requiring licensure.
• A commitment to graduate student success and a demonstrated dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion within the academic environment.
• The ability to work independently and effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, administration, staff, patients, and external partners.

• Physical Capabilities: The job involves regular activities such as sitting, standing, mobility, using hands for various tasks, and oral communication. Compensation

The salary of the finalist selected will vary based on the term lecturer role an individual is hired for and the number of credit hours or lab hours they will be working during the semester.
