Job summary

DESERT PARADISE DETOX & REHAB CENTE is seeking an APCC or AMFT to join our inpatient facility. The role focuses on individual, group, and family therapy within a multidisciplinary team to support clients in recovery.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in a counseling field and active California BBS registration, with passion for mental health and SUD treatment. Supervision hours toward licensure and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, MFT, Psychology, or related field.
• Active California BBS APCC or AMFT registration (or state equivalents).
• Experience or strong interest in mental health and SUD treatment.
• Familiar with CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapy for mental health and substance use clients.
• Lead group therapy sessions focusing on relapse prevention, coping skills, emotion regulation.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation per agency policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing training to enhance skills.
• Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines per BBS and licensing boards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapy for clients with mental health and substance use challenges.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on relapse prevention, coping skills, and emotional regulation.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with agency policies and state regulations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other team members to coordinate client care.
• Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing training to enhance therapeutic skills.
• Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines as outlined by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and relevant licensing boards.
