Job summary

Job description

• 7+ years of advanced SQL experience and understanding of relational databases.
• 5+ years of experience with Teradata and utilities (BTEQ, TPT, etc).
• 4+ years of experience working on Pyspark, Impala/Hive.
• Must have a working knowledge of Agile software delivery practices and practical experience as part of a scrum team.
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite software skills with (Excel, Access, SharePoint).
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and planning capabilities.
• Requires exceptional organizational skills, problem solving, attention to detail and timeline management.
• Ability to communicate with both business and technology partners effectively.
• Scheduling software experience with (Autosys).
• Shell scripting experience. Experience with Bitbucket, Github, Ansible.
• Strong analytical skills Team player who takes initiative Experience with Oracle, Tableau, .NET, Autosys, JIRA and Data Management tools.
• Knowledge of Global Technology, Enterprise Data Management Enterprise Data Architecture programs, strategies and standards.
• 3+ years of service in the financial industry with reporting and development experience.
• Codes design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in analytics data systems for mobile and online data for consumer and wealth management.
• Works with stakeholders,
• Product Owners, and other data engineers to aid in the implementation of data requirements, analyze performance, conduct research and troubleshoot any issues. Proficient in data engineering practices, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements.
• Codes complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform and control data in operational and/or analytics data systems per the defined acceptance criteria. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
• Assembles large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional requirements.
• Builds processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency and workload management.
• Defines and builds data pipelines that enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business.
• Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors, and triages the underlying cause.
• Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
• Adheres to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release.
• Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps.
• Provides leadership and mentoring to junior Data Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack.
