TFS Community & Communications Lead


DEPT : TENx10

HOURS : 40 PER WEEK

PT/FT/TEMP : FULL-TIME

EXEMPT STATUS : NON-EXEMPT

REPORTS TO : TENx10 Senior Director of Systems and Strategy


Brief Description of TENx10 :

The TENx10 Collaboration is a national discipleship movement with the mission to make faith matter more for ten million young people over the next ten years. We are a fast moving, creative, energetic remote team that works across ecumenical, cultural and denominational lines to pursue our courageous mission.

About the Role
The Community & Communications Lead will bring the relational, peer learning and storytelling heart of the TFS initiative to life. This person will lead our learning community efforts, curating meaningful spaces for connection between organizations and growth among grantees. They will also collaborate with the TENx10 Marketing and Communications team to curate and elevate grantee impact stories and shape a compelling narrative around youth, faith, and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning Community & Gatherings

    • Design and facilitate virtual and in-person gatherings, including webinars and summits

    • Develop and analyze grantee surveys to identify shared learning needs

    • Cultivate an ecumenical, inclusive peer-learning environment among youth-serving leaders

  • Storytelling & Narrative Strategy

    • Source and curate compelling stories, visuals, and audio from grantee projects

    • Support grantees in capturing and sharing impact via video, social media, or written reflections

    • Collaborate with the TENx10 Marketing team to amplify content nationally

  • Collaborative Leadership

    • Serve as a connector between grantees, theological advisors, communications teams and any other teams as needed.

    • Stay attuned to emerging themes and field trends to inform messaging and gatherings

  • Other duties asassigned


Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • 4–7 years in community engagement, communications, or leadership development

  • Experience serving and working with executive leaders

  • Strong writing, storytelling, and visual communication skills

  • Experience planning and hosting events (virtual and in-person)

  • Comfort using tools like Canva, Zoom, project management and social media platforms.

  • Cultural humility and experience working with diverse faith-based communities

  • Excellent communication skills required, by phone, email, social media, and in person. Ability to write clearly and effectively an absolute must.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment—the ability to initiate, prioritize, maintain, and complete both short-term and long-term projects simultaneously.

  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have high levels of initiative.

  • Servant leadership and a team attitude are vitally important to the work ethos of TENx10.

  • Must be willing to abide by Fuller Community Standards

  • This position is available for remote work within the United States. Subject to payroll state approval by Fuller Theological Seminary

PayScale:

  • The hourly rate the seminary expects to pay: $28.85 - $33.65 per hour USD
