California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in STEM Education within the School of Education. We seek candidates with K-12 teaching experience in mathematics or physical sciences and a research program that integrates social justice frameworks including Indigenous and feminist approaches.

Qualifications

Earned PhD or EdD or equivalent in STEM Education or related field; ABD acceptable if degree completed by appointment date.
Demonstrated teaching excellence and potential for a strong research program.
Experience or potential for publishing in peer-reviewed STEM Education journals.
At least three years in TK-12 settings or contexts supporting STEM teaching and learning.
Experience teaching a broad range of courses across programs using multiple instructional modalities.
Commitment to serving diverse student populations and addressing equity issues in higher education.
Preferred: teaching in physical sciences and/or mathematics in diverse K-12 settings; mentorship of graduate students; knowledge of technology in education.

Responsibilities

Teach a mix of graduate, credential, and undergraduate STEM Education courses.
Develop and maintain a research program with publications.
Advise and mentor students; participate in service to the department, college, and university.
