Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Sociology required; ABD considered with PhD in hand by Aug 15, 2027.
• Demonstrated college teaching experience.
• Ability to teach Introduction to Sociology and other undergraduate courses.
• Capacity to teach in a culturally diverse, student-centered, open-access environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Sociology courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
• Lead administrative work for the Sociology area (scheduling, staffing, textbooks, coordination with adjuncts).
• Engage in scholarly research and professional development, and provide service to the department, college, and community.
• Participate in Sociology area leadership and departmental duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
