The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Department of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor position in Mathematics and Computer Science, beginning August 15, 2027. The emphasis is on undergraduate teaching with a 12‑credit load per semester.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Mathematics or related field with 18 hours graduate coursework in CS/IT or related field.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 18 hours graduate coursework in Mathematics/related field.
• One academic year of teaching experience in Mathematics, Computer Science, or IT at K-12 or college level as instructor of record.

Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics and Computer Science courses (undergraduate level) including topics like Preparatory Algebra, Math Literacy, Foundations of Quantitative Reasoning, Introduction to Programming, and Fundamentals of IT.
• Engage in governance and committee work at Department, College, and University levels.
• Participate in professional development activities (workshops, seminars, conferences; publish articles).
• Utilize Canvas LMS and other classroom technology.
• Hold regular office hours to meet with students.
• Assess student learning using best practices.
