Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Sociology or related field required; ABD considered with expected completion before start date.
• Ability to teach Race, Social Theory, and Sociological Research Methods.
• Experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate students at the college level.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the San Luis Obispo campus and Allan Hancock College campus in Santa Maria.
• Advise students on concentrations and supervise senior projects.
• Teach core and GE sociology courses including race, social theory, and research methods; develop elective/concentration courses.
• Develop and maintain an active undergraduate research program.
• Balance teaching with research, service, and program development.
