Purdue University Northwest invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Social Work Program within the Department of Behavioral Sciences. The position is to begin August 16, 2027.

Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, service, and student mentorship, with focus on anti-oppressive social work practice. Ideal candidates will have an earned doctoral degree by August 2027, an MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, and relevant teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Earned Doctoral Degree in Social Work or a closely related discipline by August 2027.
• MSW from a CSWE-accredited program, or recognition of credentials by ISWDRES.
• Two years post-MSW practice experience and university teaching experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Teach introductory and advanced social work courses across BASW and MSW curricula.
• Engage in scholarship and service, mentorship and student events.
• Collaborate with other department programs on curriculum and instruction.
