Job summary

Purdue University Northwest’s Social Work Program in the Department of Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Associate Professor position, beginning August 16, 2027. The duties include teaching across BASW and MSW curricula, student mentorship, and service, with a focus on anti-oppressive practice.

Candidates must hold an earned doctoral degree in social work or a related field, an MSW (CSWE-accredited or ISWDRES-recognized), and university teaching experience; two years

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Social Work or closely related field.
• MSW from CSWE-accredited program, or ISWDRES recognition.
• University teaching experience.
• Two years post-MSW practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach introductory and advanced social work courses across BASW and MSW curricula.
• Teach 4 courses each semester.
• Collaborate with other department programs on curriculum and instruction.
• Mentor students and participate in program events.
