Job summary

The University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana seeks applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Social Work. The appointment will begin in Fall 2027 and is housed in the CSWE-accredited Social Work program.

Responsibilities include teaching 12 credit hours per semester (a 4/4 load), advising students, conducting scholarly activity, and providing university and community service.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Social Work or a closely related field.
• Master’s degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program.
• ABD considered at the rank of Instructor if doctoral degree is not conferred by hire date.
• Minimum of two years post-master’s experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach 12 credit hours per semester (4/4 load).
• Advise students within the Social Work program.
• Engage in scholarly activity.
• Provide professional, university and community service.
