Job summary

University of Southern Indiana is seeking an Assistant Professor of Social Work for a 9-month tenure-track position in the College of Liberal Arts. The appointment begins Fall 2027 in Evansville, Indiana.

Teaching will include 12 credit hours per semester, with responsibilities in advising, scholarly activity, and service. The CSWE-accredited program expects engagement in quality teaching and program support.

Qualifications

• PhD in Social Work or related field required or ABD at hire date, rank of Instructor.
• MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and at least two years post-master's experience.
• Commitment to teaching, scholarly activity, and service.

Responsibilities

• Teach 12 credit hours per semester across undergrad/grad Social Work courses.
• Advise students and participate in scholarly activity.
• Engage in professional, university and community service.
• Maintain CSWE accreditation standards in program.

Education
