Job summary

Kennesaw State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Public Administration in the School of Government and International Affairs. Start date preferred August 2027. Position is nine-month, located in Georgia.

The candidate will teach and advise across undergraduate and graduate programs, contribute to research in Emergency Management, and participate in service to the university and profession.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Public Administration or closely related field required at hire.
• Experience teaching in-person, online and/or hybrid courses.
• Evidence of scholarship activities in Emergency Management.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Public Administration and Political Science, including Emergency Management.
• Teach courses of varying sizes and modalities at Kennesaw and Marietta campuses.
• Provide service to department, college, university, and profession.
• Develop and maintain a productive research program in Emergency Management.
• Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present findings professionally.
• Seek external funding to support research and scholarly activity.
