Kennesaw State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Political Science in the School of Government and International Affairs with a preferred start date of August 2027. This is a nine-month contract to be performed in Georgia.

Qualifications

• PhD in Political Science or closely related field required at time of hire.
• Experience teaching in-person/online/hybrid courses.
• Scholarly work related to Asian Politics and/or Middle East Politics.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in one or more Political Science subfields.
• Teach courses of variable size and modalities, including large classes and Marietta campus.
• Provide service to department, college, University, and profession.
• Develop and maintain a productive program of research in Asian Politics and/or Middle East Politics.
• Publish scholarly work in peer‑reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.
• Seek external funding to support research and scholarly activity.
