Job summary

The Psychology Program at the University of Michigan-Flint seeks innovative and enthusiastic applicants for a tenure-track position. A PhD in Clinical Psychology or closely related applied field is required; an ABD PhD with a successful dissertation defense by May 31, 2027 will also be considered.

Responsibilities include teaching 18 credits per academic year (typically 3 courses across 2 semesters), leading a research lab with undergraduates, mentoring students, and engaging in service.

Qualifications

• PhD in Clinical Psychology or closely related field; ABD considered with defense by May 31, 2027.
• Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching across modalities (in person, online).
• Evidence of a coherent research program with student involvement and potential for external funding.
• Ability to teach across the curriculum and contribute to a Masters in Clinical Psychology (pending program approval).
• Willingness to teach on the Flint campus and online; engage in department and university service.
• Experience collaborating with diverse constituencies.
