Job summary

Delta College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Psychology Instructor to teach introductory psychology and other courses within the Social Sciences division. Instructors will employ multiple modalities (in-person, online asynchronous/synchronous, and hybrid) to reach a diverse student body.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or a related field with at least 18 hours of relevant coursework in the discipline.
• Ability to teach both in-person on a Delta campus and in an online setting.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom climate and designing curricula that foster greater sense of community.
• Experience using a variety of teaching modalities, educational technology, and delivery methods including online.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Delta College.
• Demonstrate an inclusive and culturally relevant philosophy of teaching that provides learning opportunities that meet the needs of all students.
• Teach at least 30 equated credit hours annually of various college level psychology courses.
• Focus on supporting and assessing student learning and academic achievement to ensure student success.
• Continually develop appropriate innovation in learning and teaching to meet diverse learning styles and student needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective learning experiences for a diverse student body.
