Job summary

Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood, NY, seeks a full-time, tenure-track Instructor/Assistant Professor of Psychology for Spring 2027 at the Michael J. Grant Campus.

The role includes teaching a range of undergraduate psychology courses and contributing to curriculum and assessment efforts. Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology required; Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum of two years teaching in a college setting or related experience.
• Commitment to equity and student success; familiarity with LMS.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality instruction for an open-access college.
• Participate in curricular development and assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Incorporate equity and inclusion in curriculum and instructional practice.
• Provide academic advising and engage in recruitment/retention activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development in pedagogy and subject matter.
