Job summary

University of North Carolina Wilmington seeks an outstanding faculty member for a 9-month tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Master of Healthcare Administration program, beginning August 2027. The candidate will join approximately 10 faculty serving ~400 graduate students and teach a variety of graduate courses in an accelerated online format.

The role includes research, grants, mentoring, community engagement, and service to the program, school, college, and university.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Healthcare Administration/Management, or Business Administration/Management with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework closely related to Healthcare Administration/Management.
• Demonstrated potential to develop a successful research program and grant activity in Healthcare Administration.
• Successful teaching experience in a Healthcare Administration program in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of graduate-level courses in the MHA program.
• Conduct research, publish articles, and write grants.
• Mentor students and provide community engagement and service to the program and university.
• Relocate to southeastern North Carolina or the Wilmington area and maintain campus presence.
• Collaborate with School/College/University colleagues and work in a team as needed.
