Job summary

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs seeks an Assistant Professor of Military Leader Development in the Department of Counseling and Human Services. The 9-month, tenure-track position requires a doctoral degree in Leadership or related field and involves teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, advising students, and program development with military partners.

Qualifications

• PhD or EdD in Leadership or closely related field.
• Successful teaching experience in higher education.
• Experience teaching graduate level courses in Leadership or related field.
• Credentials and/or certificates in Coaching are required.
• Experience as core faculty in graduate Leadership/Leader Development programs.
• Experience working with military populations is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 2/3 course load per academic year as assigned.
• Maintain an advising caseload of graduate and undergraduate students.
• Conduct program-related applied research and scholarly activities.
• Teach graduate and undergraduate Military Leader Development courses.
• Supervise Military Leader Development students in fieldwork and practicum.
• Collaborate with ROTC programs and military partners.
