Job summary

Iowa State University’s Department of Genetics, Development and Cell Biology (GDCB) seeks an assistant professor to start in August 2027. The candidate will use model organisms and human cell/organoid systems to study cell and developmental biology relevant to health and disease, with an emphasis on AI-augmented biology.

The position includes undergraduate and graduate teaching and development of new AI-informed courses, along with a strong research program and potential external funding.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in biological sciences before August 16, 2027.
