Job summary

The University of Central Florida invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-earning Assistant Professor in Forensic Toxicology. This is a joint position between the Chemistry Department and NCFS, expected to begin in August 2027 with a plan to establish externally funded, nationally competitive research programs.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in chemistry or related field from an accredited institution with demonstrated research productivity in forensic science.
• Preferred: at least one year of post-doctoral research or equivalent experience; human forensic toxicology publications or presentations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach in undergraduate and graduate programs in chemistry/forensic science.
• Develop externally funded, nationally competitive research programs.
• Collaborate with NCFS and other COS centers on interdisciplinary research.
