The University of Notre Dame's Department of Computer Science and Engineering invites applications for tenure-track faculty at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels with a focus at the intersection of ethics and computing. Areas include responsible AI, algorithmic fairness, privacy, security, governance, and sociotechnical measurement.

Interdisciplinary affiliation with the Institute for Ethics and the Common Good is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have or expect a PhD in computer science or a related discipline.
• Entry-level candidates should have completed all requirements for a PhD or be near completion by Aug 1, 2027.

Responsabilités

• Conduct high-quality research and secure external funding.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and mentor students.
• Engage in service to the department, university, and profession.
• Collaborate across disciplines with the Institute for Ethics and related initiatives.
