Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely aligned area.
  • Credentials and a distinguished scholarly record that qualifies for tenure/tenure-track.
  • Ability to think broadly and develop research and programmatic activities across many systems-related disciplines.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with faculty, students, administrative leaders, and external partners across disciplines.
  • Passion for promoting systems programs and developing strong partnerships with industry and other universities, government agencies such as STRATCOM, and other partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems sciences and engineering research.
  • Proven experience in leadership, strategic planning, and development.
  • Experience with mentoring undergraduate students.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a nationally recognized research program in computer engineering systems, computer architecture, or networking.
  • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in these areas to prepare students for careers in industry, research, and academia.
  • Mentor undergraduate and graduate students and advance collaborative research, capstone projects, and industry partnerships.

Education

Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or closely aligned area
