Job summary

Ball State University is seeking a full-time, tenure-line Assistant Professor of Studio Art with a specialty in printmaking, to teach undergraduate courses from Foundations to senior projects. The candidate will engage in scholarly and creative work, contribute to curricular innovation, and collaborate across the School of Art’s diverse programs in a vibrant campus setting in Muncie, Indiana.

Qualifications

• MFA in art, design, or related field.
• Ability to develop curriculum and facilities for printmaking.
• One semester of teaching experience at the college level, gained concurrently or at any time.

Responsibilities

• Courses are generally scheduled on campus, with occasional online courses.
• Instructional load includes all levels of classes such as printmaking topics and related media.
• Develop course material and maintain studios and equipment in collaboration with staff.
• Tenure-line faculty produce scholarship/creative work for tenure requirements.
• Contribute to the life of the School of Art, College of Fine Arts, and University by serving on committees.
