TheDepartment of Earth and Environmental Scienceat theUniversity of Pennsylvaniainvites applications for a tenure-track position inclimate science. We seek an innovative scientistwho studies climate using novel experimental, observational, big data or other approaches. Research areas include but are not limited to climate modeling, atmospheric science, oceanography, paleoclimatology, global ecology, and climate impacts on Earth/environmental system functions.The anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2025.Penn’s Department of Earth and Environmental Science isa collaborative and interactive department. We seek to create knowledge that advances our understanding of the physics, biology and chemistry of Earth and how it works.Our department is housed within theSchool of Arts & Sciences, which is comprised of 28 academic departments, theCollege of Arts and Sciences, theGraduate Division, and theCollege of Liberal and Professional Studies.We promote and encourage curiosity, intellectual engagement, and discovery among all our students and faculty.
