Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks a nutrition scientist for a tenure-track faculty role focused on prevention and management of chronic disease through nutrition and interventions. You will lead nationally recognized research, supervise PhD and MS students, and teach in both the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and the School of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Tenured at a comparable university or have at least four years as Assistant Professor.
• Evidence of chronic disease prevention research productivity and external funding success.
• Emerging stature as a regional or national authority appropriate to the position.

Responsibilities

• Develop a nationally recognized and externally-funded program focused on nutrition and/or nutritional interventions for chronic disease prevention and management.
• Direct and supervise PhD- and MS-level students.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in nutritional sciences in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences and the School of Nursing.
• Engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary research with faculty across units and colleges.
• Contribute to department, college, school, university, public, and professional activities.
