The University of Louisville School of Nursing seeks a junior- to senior-level tenure-eligible or tenure-track research faculty with a focused program. This open-rank position emphasizes aggressive pursuit of NIH and foundation funding, with substantial startup funds and research support.

Internal and external mentoring opportunities are available. Teaching, scholarship, and service will be balanced across a 10-month appointment, with up to 50% dedicated to research and the remainder to teaching

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Nursing (PhD or DNP) or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in nursing education at the collegiate level
• Grant writing and research funding experience
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
• Expertise in adult learning principles and student mentorship best practices
• Knowledge of higher education governance and academic policies
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and initiatives
• Proficiency in data analysis and program evaluation methods

Responsabilités

• Aggressively seek research funding from NIH, foundations and other sources
• Mentor students and contribute to the PhD program growth
• Collaborate with Brown Cancer Center and School of Medicine researchers when appropriate
• Contribute to curriculum development and educational innovation
