Job summary

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing Practice, beginning Fall 2027. This is a 9-month academic appointment located on the Corpus Christi campus, with possible summer appointment.

Faculty are expected to teach, pursue a robust program of research, seek external funding, and disseminate findings. Responsibilities include mentoring, advising, recruiting, supervising DNP student projects, and engaging in college and university

Qualifications

• PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution; advanced ABD considered but degree must be conferred at time of appointment.
• Current unencumbered RN and/or APRN license in Texas by appointment time.
• Demonstrated record of high-quality teaching.
• Evidence of leadership and ability to work with interprofessional groups.
• Potential for establishing a program of research and scholarship with funding.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
• Engage in research, apply for external funding, and disseminate findings.
• Provide service to the college, university, and professional communities.
• Mentor, advise, and supervise DNP student projects.
• Participate in college and university committees and activities.
